Bateleur Bushveld Camp - Kruger National Park:

Location: The Bateleur Bushveld Camp is situated on the bank of the Mashokwe Spruit about 40 km south-west of the Shingwedzi Restcamp.

Description:

Regulations: Visitors may take occupation of their accommodation from 12:00 and are requested to vacate before 09:00 on the day of departure.

Entrance gates and restcamp gates are closed at night. Visitors must ensure that they arrive at the entrance gate in good time to reach the restcamp before closing time. No permits will be issued for late arrivals.

Accommodation: There are seven family cottages which can accommodate 34 persons. Conference facilities are also available.

Three three-bedroom cottages (accommodation for 6 persons per cottage)
Each bedroom has a ceiling fan and two single beds. One bedroom has a bathroom (shower, toilet and washbasin) en suite. The second bathroom has a bath, shower, toilet and washbasin. The kitchen has a two-plate gas stove (without oven), refrigerator, sink, cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery.

Four two-bedroom cottages (accommodation for 4 persons per cottage)
Each bedroom has a ceiling fan, two single beds and a bathroom en suite. One bathroom has a bath, toilet and washbasin and the other a shower, toilet and washbasin. An open veranda serves as a kitchen with a two- plate gas stove (without oven), refrigerator, sink, cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery.

Services / Facilities:

  • The central recreation centre comprises a lounge/diningroom (with ceiling fans), bar, kitchen with gas stoves (with ovens), refrigerator, freezers, cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery.
  • Conference facilities exist for 30 persons in lecture configuration. Equipment: Screen, flip chart, white board, TV, video recorder, overhead projector and slide projector (carousel).
  • There are barbecue facilities at each cottage and at the recreation centre.
  • Electricity.
  • Open parking is available.
  • The nearest shop is at the Shingwedzi Restcamp.
  • Units are serviced and bedding, towels and soap are provided.
  • Night drives and day excursions.
